    Tue 23 Jan 2024

Congratulations to all the children that took part in the Basketball tournament at Huish Academy earlier this week. We were thrilled to hear that "Team A" won. They proudly brought back a shield trophy which is on display in the School Hall.

A fantastic achievement. Thank you to all who supported at the event. We will get the trophy engraved and then post a picture on here for all to see.

  • Unicorn Class- Nativity

    Wed 06 Dec 2023

What an amazing afternoon we have had! Unicorn Class performed their Nativity,  Whoops-a-Daisy-Angel, at Othery Village Hall.  They were just phenomenal and spoke, sang and acted with such enthusiasm.  All the staff are immensly proud of all the children.

Huge thank you to all the parents and grandparents for supporting the event and for helping with the costumes.

Our amazing PTA provided refreshments and the annual raffle was drawn after the production.

Well done to the Unicorn Class team of Mrs Silver, Mrs Greedy, Mrs Hale and Miss Lester. We loved it!

  • Remembrance Day

    Fri 10 Nov 2023

This morning, the whole school took part in a 2 minute silence to honour and remember those who lost their lives in World War 1 and the conflicts that have followed.

The children have been learning about Remembrance Day and have created wreaths which will be laid at the service being held at St. Michael's Church. Once again, all our children showed respect and stood silently throughout. Unicorn class then stood their poppies in the flowerbed, next to the cascade of nearly 400 poppies kindly crocheted by Clare Rossiter and donated to our school.

  • England Goalkeeper Visit

    Mon 06 Nov 2023

Today, we have been lucky enough to welcome Paralympic Footballer Giles Moore into school. Giles spoke to the children in assembly about his journey from being in Primary School to travelling around the world playing football for England. Such an inspiring story that I am sure the children will be able to share with you.

Giles has joined Mr Hughes for everyone's PE lesson today where they are having a special focus day linked to Football skills.
