Our uniform is practical and helps children to feel a sense of belonging to our school. In line with our school improvement plan and our partner schools within the trust, we updated our uniform policy in 2019. The only change since then came about in September 2020 when the badge was changed to say "Middlezoy and Othery Schools" without a trust name. A letter went out to all current parents to say that the old badge would be phased out during 2021 and would not be part of our uniform after July 2021.
School ties were introduced to our uniform as from September 2019 for KS2 . Ties are compulsory in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 with white shirts/blouses only. Jumpers/cardigans for Juniors must be V neck – the school logo is optional but encouraged.
For Infant children in Years R, 1 and 2, ties will be optional but if worn, must be with a white shirt/blouse (not with a polo shirt) – and V neck jumper/cardigan. If no tie is to be worn, pupils can wear white polo shirts.
School logo hoodies will only be allowed for PE.
Each year, we gift ties to all Juniors and book bags to the new school starters. However, should the tie become damaged or lost, new clip on ties will be available to buy from the School Office priced at £5.
All ties are made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.
School logo navy jumpers/cardigans and optional white polo/PE T-shirts with logo, for all pupils (including pre-schoolers) will be available to order through our uniform suppliers, The Prints of Wales.
The Prints of Wales are our friendly online supplier based in Wales. They supply sweatshirts, jumpers, and tee shirts – plain and polo. Good prices and the polo shirts are cotton and great quality. Password to enter the shop is Middlezoy1
White shirts (KS2) and polo shirts (KS1) can also be purchased through most supermarkets.
