As a school, we have been asked to ensure that contact tracing is supported for the first 6 days of the holidays by Public Health England. They have released the following information to support with this.

• Where a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school, the school should not be contacted. Parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace.
• For the first 6 days after teaching ends, if a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms within 48 hours of being in school, the school is asked to assist in identifying close contacts and advising self-isolation, as the individual may have been infectious whilst in school.

• School staff are not asked to remain on-call or conduct any contact tracing more than 6 days after the final day of teaching.

Based on this guidance, and the fact that our last teaching day is Friday 18^th December, there is no need to contact us beyond Thursday 24th December. During this 6-day window, please email Office@OthMid.ppat365.org to inform us of a positive test result. We will then notify any close contacts and inform them of the need to isolate.

Contact will be made via email and Tapestry, please ensure your Tapestry account is activated and that we have the correct email address for you.  I will monitor the emails daily, and be in contact should the need arise.  Please DO NOT leave a message on the school answerphone, as this will not be monitored during the school holidays.
