Our school council plays an important role in giving children a voice within our school community. Representatives from each class are elected and meet regularly with Mrs Greedy to share ideas and discuss issues that are important to them.
Being a member of the school council encourages children to develop confidence, leadership and responsibility whilst learning how to listen to others, express their views and work together.
Recent projects have included updating playground equipment, helping to design the new trim-trail area and creating artwork to enhance our school environment.
At Othery and Middlezoy schools, we believe the children's opinions matter. The school council is one way to help ensure every child feels heard, valued and involved.
